What gematria mean

gematria is a system of coding words, names, and phrases using numbers to signify their inherent spiritual and karmic meanings. It is used in many cultures and traditions to interpret the spiritual messages within scriptures and other forms of literature. It is closely related to numerology and Kabalah, but there are some key distinctions between the three.

At its core, gematria assigns numerical value to letters of the alphabet so that they can be essentially added together to form a new meaning. This means that each letter (or character) has a specific numerical significance. For example, in the English language, A = 1, B = 2, C = 3 and so on.

The resulting number for any given name or phrase then provides insight into its deeper spiritual meaning – though what it exactly means may depend upon which language or cultural tradition one is referencing for interpretation. For instance, in Hebrew gematria there are particular letters associated with divine qualities – such as the Chokmah (Wisdom) which has a numeric value of 73 – that determine how those words or numbers should be interpreted spiritually .

In addition to identifying basic numbers associated with names (or other words), gematria can also be used to identify trigger dates in numerology-based calendars and in astrology charts. This helps us predict future events based on our current knowledge of names/words associated with terms like birthdays or anniversaries etc… Furthermore, Gematria can be used to understand the deeper meanings behind common sayings or quotes – such as "God helps those who help themselves" which has a numeric value of 740 in Gematric terms – as well reveal hidden meanings within movies or books.
